The idea for this campaign came to me in June 2020 after being inspired by taking photographs, of local families on their doorsteps, to mark the lockdown period.

I thought I could take this concept one step further, by photographing local business owners (with a handmade [and fully sanitised sign]) outside their premises, or at relevant locations.

Anything that I could do to help others in my situation during this time, I was prepared to do. Through this campaign I am hoping to help raise the profile of independent local businesses, as well as highlight the importance of supporting local businesses both now and in the future.

I have been overwhelmed with the fantastically positive response and have thoroughly enjoyed meeting fellow local business owners.
